Guide on how to accurately and up-to-date view football betting odds

Football betting is a popular form of gambling enjoyed by many people. When watching a match without engaging in any betting, it feels like something is missing, akin to having meat without fish sauce. Therefore, to make a football match more interesting, adding a bit of betting can make it more exciting and suspenseful. However, when participating in betting, especially in online football betting, players must know how to read football odds. Many players are still unclear about football betting odds, so today I will guide you on how to view the latest and most accurate football betting odds, as well as how to view odds on the most reputable sports tip win currently available.

The most accurate ways to view football betting odds

For those who are new to exploring and playing football betting, terms like "handicap 1/4," "half-ball handicap," or "handicap 3/4" may still be confusing and unfamiliar. I will help you understand these terms better in the following article.

In sports betting, or more specifically in football betting, there are various types of bets and different odds. Currently, there are three basic types of bets with a large number of players worldwide: European Handicap, Asian Handicap, and Over/Under betting.

European Handicap

For the European Handicap, players only need to consider win, lose, or draw outcomes to determine how to read football betting odds.

Bookmakers offer three options to customers, referred to as 1×2.

For example, France vs. Germany is offered by the bookmaker with European odds of 1.58 – 4.29 – 5.36.

If you bet 1 USD on France to full time home win prediction, you will receive 1.58 USD.

If you bet 1 USD on Germany to win, you will receive 5.36 USD.

Or if you bet 1 USD on a draw between the two teams, you will receive 4.29 USD.

Asian Handicap

To determine the winner and loser of a bet, Asian Handicap betting relies on the number of goals scored.

For example, betting on the Vietnam – South Korea match with odds of 2.05 – 0:1 -1.875.

If Vietnam, with a handicap of -1, wins, choosing Vietnam means you win the bet entirely, and betting 1 USD will return 2.05 USD.

If South Korea, with a handicap of +1, wins, choosing South Korea means you win the bet entirely, and betting 1 USD will return 1.875 USD.

Note: The odds provided are for a 90-minute match and do not include other forms of betting such as corner kicks, first half betting, red card betting, etc.

In each match, there are different handicap betting odds. In this case, the team with the handicap is the upper team, and the team without the handicap is the lower team.

A 0:0 handicap means if the game ends in a draw, your stake is refunded.

a. A 0:1/4 handicap (Half a Ball Handicap) means:

If the chosen team wins, you win the full bet.

If it's a draw, half of your stake is lost, and the other half is refunded to the opposing team.

b. A 0:1/2 handicap (Half a Goal Handicap) means:

If the chosen team wins, you win the full bet; if they lose or draw, you lose your stake.

If both teams draw, the lower team wins the bet.

If the lower team wins or draws, you win the bet; if they lose, you lose your stake.

c. A 0:3/4 handicap (Three-quarters of a Goal Handicap) means that if you choose the upper team and they win by one goal difference, you win half the stake; if they win by two goals difference, you win double the stake.

Over/Under (O/U)

In this type of betting, the outcome of the match is not important; only the total number of goals matters.

For example, in the England – Italy O/U odds => if there are 2 goals in the entire match, it's a draw. If you bet Over, there must be 3 or more goals for you to win the bet; if you bet Under, there must be fewer than 2 goals for you to win the bet.

O/U odds 2.1/4: If you bet Over and there are 2 goals, you lose half of your stake, but if there are 3 goals, you win the bet. If you bet Under and there are 2 goals, you win half of your stake, but if there are fewer than 2 goals, you win the bet.

And O/U odds 2.1/2: If you bet Over and there are 2 goals, you lose; but if there are 3 goals, you win. If you bet Under and there are 2 or fewer goals, you win.

Or O/U odds 2.3/4: If you bet Over and there are 3 goals, you win half of your stake, but if there are fewer than 3 goals, you lose. If you bet Under and there are 3 goals, you lose half of your stake, but if there are fewer than 3 goals, you win.

In summary, the calculation of wins and losses in Over/Under betting is similar to Asian Handicap betting, both based on the number of goals. The difference lies in that while Over/Under betting is based on the total number of goals, Asian Handicap betting is based on the goal difference.

Above, I have guided you on how to view the most accurate and up-to-date football betting odds. I hope this will help newcomers to football betting better understand the terms and concepts involved, and ultimately achieve success in this game.
